Weed Man USA helps companies develop business opportunities today while creating a better world for tomorrow through franchise opportunities.

The international professional lawn care company offers strong supplemental profit opportunities to green industry businesses.

“We are really oriented to help people deliver good service to their clients and be the best employees they can be,” Lemcke said. “We have the processes down pat, so we then are able to help them train people.”

Weed Man brings strong systems to its branches, allowing managers to run their companies in a structured manner. Once these processes are in place, owners have more time to spend on the people side of business. Owners can train their employees and focus on interpersonal skills, not technical skills, Lemcke said.

The systems also allow Weed Man franchises to retain about 75 percent of current customers and target their marketing efforts in an effective manner.

“It’s a very refined process that allows them to keep an eye on the things they really need to keep an eye on to build their business,” Lemcke said.

Weed Man offers its franchisees a strong business model that helps them grow. The parent company ties the individual franchise’s business plan with Weed Man accounting software to help the branch focus on the bottom line each month.

Lemcke said her organization looks to connect with motivated Green Industry businesses, which is why Weed Man is partnering with A Better Way Community.

“The type of people that gravitate toward JP Horizons’ programs are wanting to be a part of something bigger than themselves and wanting to make themselves better,” Lemcke said. “These are the types of people we want as franchise owners.”

Weed Man continues to strive for improvement, and its strength as a company was evident in 2009. The Canadian portion of the business, which generates $55 Million a year in revenue, was hit by a no call list, strict pesticide regulations and a slumping economy — a perfect storm — Lemcke said.

But, Weed Man adjusted to meet the challenges. It changed to 100 percent organic materials, found a way to deliver green grass to Canada and continued to market its services in a financially viable way.

“We’re very proud of where we’re growing,” Lemcke said. “We are not a company that’s adverse to change. Although we are large, we are very nimble. We are able to turn the ship very quickly to help franchisees.”

As Weed Man enters this new decade, it hopes to benefit the triple bottom line in a significant manner. Weed Man energizes people by providing systems that organize business, allowing individuals to understand their jobs and spend time developing as people.

The organization increases profit by listening to its franchises, helping them market to new customers, retain current customers and making the necessary changes to help franchises grow. Weed Man will continue to benefit the planet by using the best possible products for the environment and utilizing integrated Pest Management as guiding business practices.

On the whole, Weed man is a significant partner to A Better Way Community, and it will continue to help the Green Industry grow.
